Powder Coating Institute (PCI) Certification

Keystone Koating LLC is the only certified PCI 3000 powder coater in Pennsylvania. Certification was acquired by a rigorous process in which eleven performance areas were evaluated.

AAMA 2605 Verification

Keystone Koating has successfully tested and passed all the required parameters, and has earned an American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) 2605 Verified Product Certificate, and a listing in the AAMA Verified Component List (VCL)

For years the architectural community has recognized the AAMA 2605 Voluntary Specification, Performance Requirements and Test Procedures for High Performance Organic Coatings on Aluminum Extrusions and Panels, as the highest standard in the industry.

This AAMA standard ensures that coatings provide superior protection against a broad range of environmental conditions. For coatings to meet this standard, it must be tested against numerous parameters including, color and gloss retention, adhesion, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance and weathering resistance.

Keystone Koating has met JLG’s stringent qualifications as an approved powder coater — meeting high standards in pretreatment monitoring, quality control management, records keeping, and data procurement, and has passed performance testing as well as passing a site audit.

Products Finishing magazine, a trade publication, named Keystone Koating one of the best finishing shops in the U.S. for 2020, based on their industry bench-marking survey. The survey analyzed several different areas, including Current Finishing Technology, Finishing Practices and Performances, Business Strategies and Performances, and Training and Human Resources. Only the top 50 shops were named a “Top Shop,” based on a scoring matrix of those four criteria.
